Modobo's mobile application product Lifelyte has been used to create one of the first town-based applications in the UK - iThame.
Using Lifelyte's pre-built framework, Modobo was able to quickly deliver an iPhone application to promote the town of Thame in Oxford.
Modobo - the mobile division of MDB Consulting - was chosen to create iThame due to the speed within which its iPhone developers can build applications, as well as their mobile development and systems integration experience.
iThame provides local residents, businesses and visitors with information on what's happening and where in Thame. The application allows information to be uploaded by clients without technical expertise, using a simple admin system, which contains a Word-type interface.
Businesses and the local Council can advertise their services to the general public and outside visitors. As the application can be self-managed with no external input or costs, it can be updated in real time, on a regular basis.
Lifelyte is one of Modobo's mobile application products, which allows users to quickly have an iPhone app presence for their business. Within weeks a new client will have their own iPhone app, completely self-managed and updatable by the end user.

Already receiving great interest from the BBC and local radio, the iThame app is due to be released from the 22nd of February.
